Feast your eyes on Edwin - He's a unique, restored vintage writing bureau brought bang up to date with a Fab and Funky makeover. If you're looking for sophistication, look no further!
Edwin is a very sturdy solid piece of furniture, with a dropdown door which also acts as a desk top and houses six cubby holes and a small drawer. The lower section has three large lockable drawers, all with dovetail joints.
The whole piece has been stripped, sanded, primed and painted with 3 coats of Wise Owl Enamel in colour Jet Black. The interior of the dropdown cupboard has been finished in mineral paint “Our Olive”, a lovely on trend olive green colour. The drawer fronts and dropdown door have been completely stripped, sanded and treated with 3 coats of Osmo Oil Clear, a super protective finish. The woodgrain looks fantastic, it’s enhanced beautifully by the Osmo Oil and is waterproof and extremely durable. Fab and funky stripes have been added to give that extra Wow factor!
The original pull handles have been cleaned and polished, with the backplates painted in black. A vintage pull handle has been added to the dropdown door.
All in all, we think that Edwin is a sophisticated and charming piece of history and a great work at home solution for any stylish home.
