This superb Ercol dining table and 4 chairs have been given a fab and funky makeover.
 
The Model 500 drop leaf table, from the Old Colonial Range circa 1965, will seat 4 comfortably, 6 when fully extended, and 2 when collapsed. This highly practical and versatile table is ideal for when space is at a premium. The table is easy to open and close with strong sliding metal arms to support the leaves on either side.  Please note this table has been sold.  The table available with this set is the same base, but a round top, not square - pictures to follow.
 
The table top has been stripped, sanded, oiled and waxed to enhance and protect the beautiful grain of the solid elm. The underside of the top has been cleaned and waxed. The cross stretcher legs and frame have been sanded, primed and painted in the very durable Wise Owl Enamel, colour Jet Black. The original manufacturer’s badge is still attached to the underside.
 
4 vintage Ercol Fleur de Lys chairs have also been stripped, sanded, oiled and waxed and the backs and legs have been painted in black satin, with a wax finish varnish for protection. Funky “socks” to the chair legs have been stripped, sanded and polished to match the back rail.
