A bit of history...

From an early age, it was instilled in me to ‘make do’ with what I had.  If it was broken, I was taught to fix it, not chuck it.  I spent more time in my dad’s shed mending things, than in my mum’s kitchen baking cakes!  I remember friends and family often turning up at our house and presenting my dear old dad with their broken chair, or hoover, or bicycle, or anything else that had seen better days, and asking him if he could fix it!   I suppose then, I have Ronnie to thank for my passion for up-cycling furniture and making each piece as good as new.   It’s been a hobby for a while, but it’s turning into an obsession!!

Like my furniture, I've also had a previous life - mine being in Interior Design and Property Development.  Maybe that's why I love all things stylish and unusual?  I like to think that if my furniture doesn’t look too stylish in it’s original form, after a funky fix up, it’s reborn into something quite unique.  I believe in the old adage that ‘if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well”.

I know what my old dad would say….”It’s just the job that, aye, just the job!”
